Dr Angelos Bouchouras

    Dr. Angelos Bouchouras is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the University of Western Macedonia (UWM), with the subject “Power Distribution Systems”. He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2005 and completed his PhD in the same department in 2010.  He has been a research associate at TEI of Western Macedonia (2012-2019) and an academic fellow at the University of Thessaly (2017-2019). From 2013 until today he teaches at the Postgraduate Program “Mechatronics” of the University of Thessaly.  His research work focuses on the optimization of electricity distribution networks, with emphasis on the implementation of the “Smart Grid” concept.

    Angelos Bouchouras has participated in 20 European and Greek research projects and has received three postdoctoral research grants, including one European (EMRP). He has published or co-published 30 scientific papers in international journals, 65 in international conferences, and 4 chapters in foreign language scientific books. He is a reviewer for more than 15 international journals and has participated in scientific conference committees. His work has been internationally recognized, with 1171 citations in Google Scholar and 842 in Scopus.
