Dr Olga Kandinskaia has PhD in Economics (1995) and is currently full-time resident faculty at University of Limassol (former CIIM – Cyprus International Institute of Management). Olga is also Programme Director of MSc in Green and Digital Management at UoL Her expertise is in the areas of Corporate Finance, Management Accounting, Business Strategy, Company Valuation, and Financial Modeling. Her focus is on interactive, customized, and practically relevant learning where theory is applied to real-life cases. Olga is award-winning case writer. In 2017, Olga won a top prize from The Case Centre. In 2018, she received the award by North American Case Research Association (NACRA) for Best Case in Accounting, Finance and Economics. In 2019, Olga’s case at the NACRA annual conference won the Best Case Gold Award. In 2022, Olga received the Tate Award by NACRA’s Case Research Journal for the best case published in CRJ in 2021. Olga has been elected to the Executive Board of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA) in 2021. Olga’s role in 2022-23 was the VP of Programs & Conference Chair (5-7 Oct, San Antonio, TX), and her position in 2023-24 is NACRA President. One of Olga’s recent cases is about an investment appraisal of a green energy project in Cyprus. Olga’s “Learning by Doing” innovative teaching method in business education received honors (Silver and Bronze) by Cyprus Education Leaders Awards 2020.
