Professional experience
- 1984-85: Dow Chemical Europe, Horgen, Zurich, Marketing trainee in Market research, Specialty Chemicals department.
- 1987 and onward in the family business of Premier Shukuroglou Group, where he is currently managing director.
- Contributed in the development of the Group’s operations, leading the start of various projects such as:
- Establishment of Premier Shukuroglou Hellas SA in Greece in 2000, active in animal health and nutrition products, distributor of Novartis AH (now Elanco AH).
- Led the acquisition and development in 2007 of WARDI SA, located in Aspropyrgos, Attica. WARDI is a Third Party Logistics company, focusing on hazardous products, veterinary medicines, pet food & accessories and other.
- Establishment in Cyprus of a green-waste composting and potting soils plant in 2012
Extra Activities
- Founding member of the Cyprus-Swiss Association and at times as its president.
- Founding member of Cyprus INSEAD Alumni Club.
- Active citizen through various NGOs, such as the Citizens’ Platform TRANSPARENCY NOW, OPEK.
- Keen sailor, formerly offshore and today club racing on Lazer boat.
Married to Melina Shukuroglou, visual artist, since 1993 and have 2 children, Melissa 32 and Marco 27.
