
CEO of Cyprus Public Transport
Julio was born in Argentina in October 1971. He holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Nacional De Cordoba Argentina. In 1998 he acquired an MBA in TQM for managers from Yokohama University in Japan and in 2005 he completed a 2-year master’s degree in industrial economics specialising in the economy of the transport sector and energy sector from the Carlos III University in Madrid.
Julio started his professional career in 1994 in Casimiro S.A. Argentina, a leading company in urban, interurban and international passenger transportation. In 1998 he became General Manager of TM S.A. Argentina, a TOYOTA vehicle dealer company in four Argentine provinces. Later on, he held the position of General Manager in Arbra S.A., a financial company.
In 2005 he joined the National Express ALSA Group in Spain as Deputy Director responsible for the group’s investment projects in Morocco. In 2008 Julio is transferred to CMC XXI Group as Director of the Transport Division of the Group, position that he holds until today.
Over the years he led a number of transport projects in various countries of South America, Africa and Europe. These include transport related projects in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, Panama, Colombia, and other south American countries. In Europe he has worked in various countries as Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Malta and Cyprus. He has worked in several projects in Africa, especially in Morocco.
He is currently the CEO of MPT (Malta Public Transport) and CPT (Cyprus Public Transport) and he is also a member of the European Committee of the UITP Europe (International Association of Public Transport).
He is the father of Nicolas (21) and Catalina (16). Apart from Spanish and Portuguese he speaks English and French.
