Nikos Isaris joined the European Commission in 2002. He is the Deputy Head of the European Commission Representation in Cyprus since September 2020.
Before that, Nikos was Acting Head of Unit for the “Internet of Things” dealing with legal and ethical aspects of IoT and Artificial Intelligence and with research programmes in the European Commission’s DG Connect.
Before the European Commission, Nikos worked for seven years in the private banking and electronic banking sector in his home country Greece.
He holds an MBA with Honours from the Athens Laboratory for Business Administration, a Master’s degree with Distinction in Data Communications and Networks from University College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Heraklion in Crete.
He speaks Greek, English, French, German, Spanish and is learning Turkish.
