Thanos Patrikis is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the National Technical University of Athens, with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Polymers Science and Technology from UMIST (Manchester, UK), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA – Honors) from ALBA Business School.
He has years-long work experience in various multinational companies such as BP, Coca-Cola 3E, Imerys, and others, holding senior managerial positions in various countries across Europe, Middle East, and Far East. Throughout his career, he acquired a broad range of expertise and successfully led teams in various companies in areas such as Production, Quality Control & Assurance, Industrial Marketing, Business Development, and B2B Sales.
From 2023, Mr. Thanos Patrikis is the General Manager and Managing Director of the oil storage terminal of VTT Vasiliko Ltd (VTTV), a subsidiary of VTTI B.V. based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The VTTV terminal is one of the largest of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean region and one of the largest foreign direct investments in energy infrastructure in the region and Cyprus, active in the storage and handling of energy products (fuels and biofuels). Finally, Thanos Patrikis is the Vice President of VTTI for the Mediterranean region, managing the two existing terminals in Cyprus and in Croatia, and being responsible for the business development of the company through new investments in the region.
