Mr. Yiannis Thoma serves as an Officer at the Energy Service of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce & Industry. He is part of the team responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) within the framework of the “Concerted Action EED”, an initiative facilitating knowledge exchange among European experts in the field of energy efficiency. He has extensive experience in the energy sector, having previously worked as an Energy Officer at the Cyprus Institute of Energy, with a focus on energy saving and renewable energy sources. His professional background also includes engineering consultancy for private companies, specializing in the design, supervision, contracting, and management of mechanical installations in the building sector. Additionally, he has held the position of Director of Engineering for a private commercial company.
