Healthy Buildings – Healthy Workers
The impact of the building environment on the health of workers is an important area of study in the field of public health and architecture, as many hours are spent in the building. A building can affect the health of the people who work in it through several factors, which include indoor air quality, exposure to natural light, thermal comfort, as well as acoustic comfort and access to nature. Health and safety protocols must be developed, implemented and systematically adhered to prevent injuries, illnesses and other health problems.
